Long banquette runs are usually made in sections, and the joints are where installation goes wrong: one section sits higher than the next, a gap opens, the capping does not line up. The Aligned-Joint system puts 2 cm brass locating pins and chamfered sockets into the end faces of each 120 cm section, half-plates in the plinths that meet as one, and 45° mitred ends on the brass capping so the line runs straight across the joint.
This makes installation more accurate, and it makes the run reusable. Sections can be separated, moved to a new wall or a new site, and re-assembled to the same standard, rather than being cut and patched. Individual sections can be removed for repair while the rest of the run stays in place.
Each section is a standard hardwood and plywood seat box with upholstered back and seat.
